Dear Stannis Baratheon ,

My spies have intercepted your letter to Alon Rok. Oh don't fret, I made sure it will still reach him. 
The "pretenders" will continue to "pretend" and play their games. But we will play our game correctly and deal with you accordingly. It would be sad to lose to pretenders, and a child who sits the throne, wouldn't it?

A scowl formed on Stannis' brow as he read the Raven's words. Slowly, his hand clenched into a fist, crumpling the vile paper.

"What is it Your Grace", asked a concerned Maester Pylos.

Stannis turned his head to look at the Maester. "You sent the Raven over the land route".

"Yes Your Grace", came the reply, "It is the quickest".

Stannis did not trust a single one of the Lannister woman's lies. "Send two more ravens bearing the same message as before", he commanded, "But this time send them over the sea route".

Maester Pylos nodded and sat down to begin writing. Unless Cersei's spies were fish, Stannis' ravens would be able to reach The Mountain's Eye unmolested.

As for Cersei, Stannis saw no reason to reply to her message. Her gloating had been a tactical mistake, and he would not fall victim to that same trap.
