As the sun rose over the Capital for the second time during the Hand's tourney, it was greeted by a unison of bows being stringed. Since the first day had been necessary for the knights and people to make camp and sign up for the tournaments none of the major attractions had been performed. Today, though, the first large sum of dragons would be paid out to whoever came across as the best archer. With a prize pot of ten-thousand dragons and the honor of being the best archer in Westeros, many had brought their bow to try their luck.
The tournament would be held at the edge of a large field where a temporary range had been built. Targets had been raised at increasing distances, and the range were built so that the royal family and the more influential nobles could sit down at the left side of the archer. The lesser nobles and lowborn would have to stand up through the tournament. About fifteen minutes before the tournament would start the majority of the royal family made their presence known, together with the new Hand and his daughters. '' I think you'll like this Ned. '' Robert exclaimed as they sat down.
'' First out to compete in the tournament of archery is Ser Rodrick Stone! '' A broad man yelled as he made place for the stocky man with graying hair. The bastard was a fair archer, but as the second competitor walked up most had already forgotten his name. This continued for a while, until the man once more turned to the King. '' The next competitor for the ten-thousand dragons is.. '' The name was told and for once Eddard felt a bit intrigued.
Characters who compete in the archery should make sure to make it visible if they did good/less so. People who are only there as spectators can also reply.
