Two Weeks after the Crowning of Renly Baratheon
Starfall
Solan had called on the King of the South, or rather he be called the True King of Westeros, his name though be that of Renly Baratheon. Solan had yet to judge this man fully. He had his preconceptions, he heard the rumors, he knew the stories. He needed but to meet the man behind words though, he needed to know if Renly Baratheon was worth even thinking of following. Was it but a fleeting thought of curiosity or would Solan go through with his plan of an eye for an eye.
The brother of this man had caused the deaths of Solan's brother and sister, perhaps not on purpose but he had done so none the less with the help of Lord Eddard Stark... He was power hungry, that was what Robert Baratheon had been. They were right to rebel over the death of the stark lord and brother, over the insanity of Aerys the mad king, but to kill Rhaegar Targaryen, to murder his wife and children over what was probably yet just another whore to the fat oaf of a king and murderer.
His brother was not much better from what Solan had heard, surely killing those who follow the Seven out of your own perverse understanding of the Red Faith. Ruling through fear and control rather than the love and loyalty of those under you... No stannis was no better than the mad king and would have to die too, or atleast rot. But Renly, his stories paint him as a king that would be welcome, not a warrior king no. But a King did not need to be a warrior to be great, Jaenerys the Councillor proved this. So with that Solan turned and stood before a central chair in the far end of Starfall's main hall. He would wait there for his guest whom should be arriving any second.

Why the oldest son, and not the best-fitted? The crown will suit me.

Renly rode ahead of his entourage, whooping laughter echoing around the mountains. Renly loved Dorne. He absolutely adored it, although his duties tended to keep him from being able to visit. He sometimes felt more Dornish than Stormlander. His brothers, Robert, Stannis, they were true men of the Storm. He, though? He didn't like battle, or blood. He had no interest in swinging swords, and he absolutely despised rain. Dorne though, Dorne suited him well. Dorne was always warm, and sandy, everyone looked as though they walked out of some sunny story book, and people could be with who they wanted. Renly was being followed by so many people, lords, ladies, knights, smallfolk. They all adored him, they'd all flocked to his banner the moment he'd raised it. He'd wanted Loras with him on this journey, the two had always spoken of visiting Dorne. But, alas, Loras was busy having to court his father, Mace Tyrell. Renly had married the man's daughter and raised his son to Lord Commander of his Kingsguard, but the man was still wary of swearing whole fealty to Renly. It was like Mace to wait until the victor of the war was obvious before fully declaring his troops. No, instead of Loras, Brienne of Tarth rode beside Renly. Brienne was the only choice for his Kingsguard that was entirely Renly. Loras, Randyll Tarly, Margaery, they all told him to give the woman some other reward, but no, Renly was the King, and the King had the final say. Brienne, he had faith in. Robar Royce, Bryce Caron, Parmen Crane? To Renly, they may as well have just been names. He could barely attach a color to them, much less a name. But Brienne? Brienne was an excellent choice. Renly strolled into Starfall with a confident swagger. Starfall was an absolutely lovely hold, interior as well as exterior. He hadn't truly felt the need for his guard on this visit, if this Solan Dayne wanted Renly dead, it would be easier to do it in Storm's End, rather than inviting Renly to Starfall where everyone would know what he'd done, how dishonorable he'd been. And besides, Renly wouldn't truly mind dying in a place like Starfall. A castle nestled between the mountains of Dorne, with a crown on his head, and hundreds of thousands of loyal supporters rallying for him. Solan DayneBrienne of Tarth

It was Brienne's first time in Dorne. The arid, dry heat and terrain was something she was not quite used to yet, but nonetheless had a beauty to it. King Renly seemed to very much like Dorne from the way he talked about it. He had asked her to join him to Starfall, so they may meet with Lord Solan Dayne. Brienne was actually quite taken aback by his offer. Ser Loras Tyrell, Lord Commander of the Rainbow Guard, was more like to be chosen to escort him. Alas, Ser Loras was much too busy with his father, Lord Mace Tyrell. She may have not been his first choice, but Brienne was still honored to join him. Brienne rode beside her king, ready to defend him from any danger if necessary. She wore her Rainbow cape proudly as it fluttered in the arid wind. Her sword was sheathed at her side, her hand on it's pommel. King Renly whooped and laughed, echoing off the Dorne's mountainous terrain. His laugh made her smile slightly, knowing her king was in a joyous mood gave her solace. Those who tagged along adored their king, she knew, but she was on her guard in case any thought to hurt him. A king has many enemies and you never know which of his most trusted friends will stick a knife in his back. Brienne especially did not trust their meeting with Lord Solan. The Baratheons and the Daynes had a bit of bad blood between them after Robert's Rebellion. Renly made a nice target for revenge. King Renly entered Starfall with his usual confident swagger, Brienne at his side. She scoped the hold warily. It's beauty was overwhelming. Though, it will not distract her from her duty to her beloved king. Hand still resting on the pommel of her sword at the ready. She admitted she was a bit paranoid, but one can never be too careful being the only thing between a king's life and his death. Renly Baratheon Solan Dayne

Solan's eyes watched the mass of people traveling towards Starfall with a curious look about his eyes as he stood now in the Garden kept by himself. Able to look over the area around the keep and smiling as it was the one place in Dorne where beauty of both Dorne and other regions can co-exist. Granted it takes a lot of effort but Solan was proud of the creation of his so much so he stayed in it most of the day with the exception when the business of the region is brought to him or when his practice with a blade does not occupy his time.
"Adrian..." He looked to the closest guard, one he trusted and considered a man with a purer heart than most knights. "... Please bring my guest here once he arrives, i don't need him going to an empty hall thinking that is where i would be like other lords and ladies that don't appreciate something like this." He moved over to a plant he had gotten from Old Town a year back and started to tend to it and make sure it was presentable as he smiled and looked over to the side as Adrian disappeared and he sighed.
The man he would meet in little more than a dozen minutes was the brother of the man that had caused a bloody revolution when he could have just let Rhaegar live and things to end much better. "Calm Solan." He said to himself and stood up as he looked to a nearby servant and motioned to the table inside the garden and moved to take a seat and left the head of the table open for Renly and his personal group.
The table was not too ornate, simplistic but holding a subtle beauty in that the way it was crafted the rings of the table seemed to eminate and wrap around the legs of the table but also moving across the table like waves. The food brought to it was something of a lighter meal, though the food chosen was bread and beef in order to allow for a fuller meal. The chairs were as simple as the table and held a comfort to them that Solan had specifically looked for as he pushed aside a number of texts that had been lain out on the table. Renly and Brienne would be led to him where he would then stand up, his body bowing and his eyes closing as one hand went behind him and the second over his chest. "Renly Baratheon, a pleasure to have you. I apologize for not using your title as my loyalty to Dorne hold me to neutrality."
