Sansa work early that morning, having had a troubled sleep after the events with the queen the previous night.  She worried about what the letter from her brother had been, as she soaked in the tub of warm water.  Whatever it was, the way the queen had acted had scared the girl and she knew she wanted to dodge as many Lannisters as she could that day.  She removed herself from the tub and quickly got dressed.

She had just finished braiding her hair for the day when a knock sounded on the door, she felt her blood run cold as she dreaded another royal summons.  She moved to the door and opened it, not surprised to see the servant and the two Lannisters guards standing there.  She was began img to wish for a day where she didn't have to see the Lannister red.  "The queen wishes to see you join her for breakfast, lady Sansa", the servant replied and although it was worded as a semi question, Sansa knew she had no choice but to attend.  She dismissed the servant as she had the night before and walked back into the room to place on the necklace that Joffery had given her that wonderful day before her fathers death.  That day had made her believe once more that he could be her Prince Charming after the problems that had occurred on the road.  That dream had long gone in the girl, but it wouldn't hurt for the Lannisters to think it had not.

With the necklace on, Sansa left the room, the guards following her as they always did.  She knocked on the Queens door, and clenched her hands to centre herself as she knocked on the door.  When the door opened by a servant she entered and curtsied to the Queen, "you wished to see me, your grace", she said, taking note of the slight quiver in her voice that she hoped the queen would not.  She might be simply a scared little girl but she did not want the Queen to know such things.

"Take a seat," Cersei said. She gave a half smile that shown brutally fake. "Joffrey will arrive at any moment." she said quietly. Joff never believe in showing up on time. Especially if it wasn't his feast he were throwing. And thankfully it wasn't. Cersei had ordered a modest yet bold breakfast.  Thick sausages had sat in piles on a large plate, and three played decked the table, with potatoes, eggs, and honeybread. Weak persimmon wine and water had sat in silver goblets. Joffrey's plate and goblet had the largest portions, so he would not feel offended, and still remained kingly. He was complicated at best.  "I suppose his Grace can spare a few of our words," Cersei started. "I want you to tell me now. And the truth. What does a wedding to Joffrey make you feel like?" Cersei flashed a wicked smile. She knew the girl was probably the fakest one in the Red Keep. She had always smiled and curtsied, but she was pale and craven at best, and would have all the Lannisters bleeding with open throats if given the chance. Which is what made Cersei fear the most if putting her on a throne and sporting the name 'queen' meant. But she was doing it for the war. For the Lannister name. And Jaime. Robb would set Jaime free, knowing his sister is Queen, would he, Cersei had felt a conflict within. But, as a Queen, she is bound to more rights. And power. Sansa could easily play the games that the Lannisters play, or very well arise victorious. It doesn't matter...I am a Lannister. I was born with power and wealth. Power is power, thought Cersei.  Cersei took a sip of the persimmon wine, and broke off a part of the honeybread. It's taste ran like a River in her mouth. The fire that roasted it, the oven that baked it, The sugars pelted her tongue. Cersei scowled at the taste though. Sweets weren't always in her interest, and the sugar began off too strong. She preferred light meats to any day, so spearing a sausage and placing it on her platter. Cersei looked at Sansa. No lemon cakes for you, she silently mocked.  Iron Sansa Stark

Sansa straightened and moved to the table, her step faltering for but a moment at the news that Joffery would be joining them. The had wanted to try and dodge them both today but had rather ended up having to have the company of both. She quickly resumed her step, hoping the queen had not noticed.

She took her seat that the table and felt a little dismayed at not seeing any lemon cakes. The company may have been made easier with her one vice in life. She made no move to touch her food just yet and was glad of the decision when she heard the queens question. So they truly mean to make me marry my fathers murderer. They will make me one of them with the games I have to play here.. The thought scared her and she had to hope that the feeling did not show on her features as she spoke. "My one wish since leaving Winterfell has been to marry the prince", this had at least been true for a time. "Being the Queen is the greatest honour I could ever ask for. I love and am loyal to the one true king, Joffery Baratheon." The girl took but a small sip of the wine behind her plate. If this was to be the discussion of the day then she knew she would have to be careful, least she slip up. Her life depended on keeping the Lannisters happy, of that she couldn't be more sure.
